Free Watersports Activity Sessions
Sail Birmingham and Midland Sailing Club will be running a community watersports day in 2024, located on Edgbaston Reservoir.
This gives children (aged 10 and above) the opportunity to try sailing free of charge.
Sail Birmingham runs Sailing, Windsurfing and Paddleboarding activities throughout the year & information can be found on the other pages of the website.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult on site all the time. Most activities are suitable for children aged 8 and above, but this is based on the child’s height and size not their age. Participants must be water confident but do not have to be able to swim.

WHAT TO BRING TO THE ACTIVITY DAYS
Everyone is required to wear a buoyancy aid which is provided. You are likely to get wet when trying the activities, so please bring a change of clothes and footwear that you do not mind getting wet, old trainers or water shoes are preferred, no crocs, flip flops or sandals. Wetsuits are provided if necessary. Please also bring a swimsuit to wear for under the wetsuit and a towel too.
FOOD & DRINKS
There will be no café at Midland Sailing Club this time as there is a private event.
BAD WEATHER PROVSION
Watersports are fun to do on hot sunny days or even when it is raining. However, if there are high winds or a severe weather warning the Free Community Watersports Activity Days will not go ahead.
