Available Course & Events for On-line Booking

Powerboat Courses:

We run RYA Powerboat Level 2 and safety boat courses for members and non-members of Midland Sailing Club. These courses are two days, so when making the booking you are signing up to all dates shown. You must also be 16 years or older to do the course. Below is our current course schedule and each course is priced at £225 for Non Members.

First Aid Courses:

Even a basic knowledge of First Aid can save a life, so it’s no surprise that training is mandatory for RYA Instructors, and a valuable skill to have in any walk of life. Our approved RYA course is aimed primarily at watersports users, and covers areas of First Aid commonly encountered in a sailing/watersports environment, such as hypothermia and cold water shock.

Assistant Instructor Course:

We run Assistant Instructor Courses for those who are looking to step up and help with the training program at Midland Sailing Club. You must have a recommendation from the Principal of the Training Centre and also have passed a certain level of personal skill. Below is the current course that will be running.

Race School

Race school is a regular session where you will have the opportunity to practice your racing skills.

You will need at least RYA youth Stage 2 as a Junior / RYA Level 2 as an Adult, or be invited to join this session by the Sailing Manager.

RYA Adult Sailing Course

The RYA Level 1 Course (Start Sailing) is aimed at adults who have no prior experience in dinghy sailing. The RYA Level 2 Course (Basic Skills) is aimed at adults who have completed the RYA Level 1 course. For more information Click Here.
